Year 1 Hollytrees Visit
Thank you to the parents and carers who gave up their time this week to join Year 1 on their trip to Hollytrees Museum. An educational and enjoyable day was had by all. Photographs can be seen in the gallery.
Goodbye Mrs Waite
Mrs Waite leaves us this week to go on her adventures. We wish her and her husband Darren all the very best. We will miss them both.

World Book Day Meal
On Thursday 1st March we will be having a special meal for World Book Day. You can see the menu on the Dinners Page of the website or in the hall windows. If your child already has a dinner booked on this day they will have the World Book Day meal. If you need to make any changes please speak to the office staff.
The winner of our Valentines cake was Orla Rose Watkins from class 1H. Well done Orla Rose, we hope you and your family enjoy it.
Our Parents Evenings will take place on Wednesday 28th February and Thursday 1st March. This is a chance to meet with your child's teacher to discuss their progress. Appointments will be available to book online from Monday 19th February. There is a link in the bottom left hand corner of the home page or in the left hand column on the Parents Page. If you need any help booking your appointment please speak to Mrs Hughes in the school office.
Medical Appointments during the School Day
If your child has a medical appointment during the school day please could you ensure you let the office staff know in advance and take a copy of your appointment letter to the office.
During the half term holiday Miss Cleaver is getting married. She will continue to be known in school as Miss Cleaver until the Summer holidays. Congratulations Miss Cleaver!
Family Fridays – Year 1
Our Family Fridays will continue until the Easter holidays for Year 1. Please call in to the library at the end of the school day on Friday and choose a book to share with your child.
Understanding Your Child
Following our successful workshop this week, Melissa (the family learning tutor) will be putting together a six week course on some of the parenting issues that were raised at the workshop. This course - called "Understanding Your Child" - will be open to parents and carers of both the Infant and Junior Schools, regardless of whether or not you attended the recent workshop. The course will run for six weeks, starting on Monday 19 February at 9.30am in the Junior School. Please register your interest at the school office.
Parking – Plume Avenue Garages
We have received a letter this week from the people who rent the garages just off Plume Avenue. Please could we ask you not to block access to the garages or the road leading to them. Please be respectful of our neighbours when parking your car close to the school.
Following our successful Storysacks course we will be running a Numbersacks course. It will begin on Tuesday 20th February and run for 4 weeks. If you would like to come along please sign up at the school office.
Dates for your Diary
9th March: - Book at Bedtime Evening (letter will follow with details after half term)
5th – 9th March: - Book Week. We will have a Book Fair in school and will invite parents in to read with the children. (More details will follow soon).
23rd March: - Sport Relief Day (Look out for more info after the half term holiday)
