Just to remind you as we enter a period of uncertain weather that information regarding school closure will be available on our website. PLEASE DO NOT RING THE SCHOOL. We do not foresee the school being closed, (except in the case of an emergency) as enough staff live within walking distance for us to remain open. Thank you.
Sainsburys Active Kids
We will be collecting the Active Kids vouchers from Sainsburys. Please save your vouchers for us. There is a collection box outside the school office.
School meals for week commencing Monday 23rd January need to be ordered on Monday 16th January. This will be menu 1. Menus can be viewed on the school website. Please bring your order form to the school office from 8.30am on Monday.
Please can I remind you that learning in the classroom begins at 9.00am prompt every day. The doors to school are open at 8.45am to allow your children some time on the playground before school starts. We are seeing a few children arriving after the doors are locked at 9.00am. Please ensure your child arrives at school on time.
Reception Snack Time
Children in our Reception classes have snack time each day and we ask for a voluntary contribution of £6.00 per term towards this. We are now collecting contributions for the Spring term. Please bring your contribution to the school office if you have not already done so.
Please take a look at our gallery for photographs of some of the learning taking place this term. Miss Cleaver’s class are acting out the story of The Three Little Pigs and Miss Taylor’s class are enjoying their role play area and playing some math’s games. More photos will be added soon.
Governors are currently preparing for a "Governors at school day", when they will visit Prettygate Infant School and Prettygate Junior School and experience all aspects of school life on a "normal" day.
The visit will take place on Tuesday 7th February.
Many Governors also attended updated safeguarding training this week.
