We would like to confirm that school is open as normal today.
Christmas Celebrations – Year 1 and Year 2
We were very proud of your children at our Christmas Celebrations this week. They all worked so hard to entertain us with their singing, dancing and acting. Thank you too for supporting us by bringing your children back to school for both performances. We look forward to the Reception performances next week.

Message from the SENCO
We are trialling a new appointment system and would ask that parents seeking an appointment with Mrs Tinnion (SENCO) contact Mrs Bellotti at Prettygate Junior School either by telephone (mornings only) on 01206 577608, or by email to . Many thanks.
We are delighted to say Miss Isgrove will be returning to school after the Christmas holidays following her maternity leave. She will work three days a week, Wednesday to Friday and Mrs LeBoutillier will work Monday and Tuesday. Miss Isgrove will be in school for Class RI's Nativity on Wednesday 13th December and if you would like to meet her she will be available afterwards in her classroom.
After Schools Clubs
There will be no after school club on the last day of term (Wednesday 20th December). Slips for next terms after school clubs will be sent home next week.
We have a post box in the corridor for children to post their Christmas cards. Please make sure that both the name and class are written on the envelope to make the postman's job easier! Reception children have their own post box which can be found in the corridor immediately outside their classrooms.
Reception Forest School
There will be no Forest School this week (w/c 11th December) due to the Reception Nativity performances. Forest School will start again on Wednesday 10th January.
Christmas Jumper Day
On Wednesday 20th December (the last day of term) children may come to school wearing a 'Christmas' jumper (this is a non-uniform day) in return for a small voluntary donation in aid of Save the Children Fund. Please remember that donations are purely voluntary and jumpers do not need to be specially bought. An old jumper with some tinsel or other decoration on it will be just fine. We are as always, very grateful for your support of our school.
You may have seen John Woodley and John Staines (The 2 Johns) in the news this week discussing the dangers of live streaming apps. We have been fortunate to have been able to book them to provide e-safety training for pupils, staff and parents at both the Infant and Junior Schools in April next year. More information will follow nearer the time.
This week's winners of our Fine Dining places are Max French-Munns, Kaya Howe and Emma Clayton. Well done, enjoy your lunch on Monday!
End of Term
Wednesday 20th December is the last day of term. Children return to school after the Christmas break on Wednesday 3rd January.
