Dick Whittington Pantomime
We had a fantastic trip to the Mercury Theatre on Wednesday. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the children’s behaviour was a credit to you and to the school. Many thanks for all your support.
‘Goose on the Loose’
Margie and Peter North, the authors of Gosse on the Loose will now join us on Tuesday 6th December for an assembly in school. The story was inspired by two swans and a farmyard goose who have been together for three years on the River Colne at Wivenhoe. Margie and Peter will sign and sell copies of the book at 3.15pm. All proceeds will go to refugee charities. The book makes an ideal Christmas present for readers of all ages! “We hope the book will be enjoyed by readers of four to one hundred and four years!”
Tickets for the Year 1 and Year 2 celebrations have been sent home this week. We have a few order forms that had no name on them. If you think this may be you please speak to the office staff. Please ensure you bring your tickets to the performances. You will need them to get in! No ticket no seat! Programmes for the Reception Nativity will be sent home early next week.
Take a look at our gallery for photographs of Miss Taylor’s class getting creative at our Christmas Activity Day. Photos of Miss Burgess’ class have also been added to the Reception gallery folder.
Thank you to the person who donated some Lego this week. We would still be very grateful for Lego donations if you have any at home that you no longer need.
School meals for week commencing Monday 12th December need to be ordered on Monday 5th December. This will be menu 1. Menus can be viewed on the school website. Please bring your order form to the school office from 8.30am on Monday. All orders should be placed before 3.30pm on Monday.
A post box will be in the corridor from Monday 5th December for children to post their Christmas cards. Please make sure that both the name and class are written on the envelope to make the postman’s job easier! Reception children have their own post box which can be found in the corridor immediately outside their classrooms.
Can You Help?
We are looking for volunteers to help our playhelpers sell our Christmas badges, reindeer food and raffle tickets for our Christmas hamper, before school in the mornings starting next week. If you could spare 20 minutes before school we would be very grateful. Please sign up at the school office asap.
