A Joint Message from Prettygate Infant and Junior Schools
We are aware that a small number of parents are communicating about our schools on Facebook. We respectfully remind you that we have an "open door" policy. Please call in if you would like to discuss something. All staff are banned from using Facebook in school and would face disciplinary procedures if they discussed the school or parents online. Barry Hawes and Rita Tingle

World Book Day – 6th March 2015
Please read the information we sent you about Book Week. Remember we are dressing up as a character from a traditional tale on Friday 6th March.
In addition we are holding a 'Bring a Book – Take a Book' event on Wednesday (4th March) during school hours. We are asking the children to bring an unwanted book to school and then choose a different one to take home. To prepare for this please bring your unwanted children's books to the hall on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 8.45am.
On Thursday 5th March we are holding a Book Fair with the Book People. It will start directly after school at 3.10pm. The Book People have a very good range of reasonably priced children's books. Please do come along and take a look. Please note the Book People are unable to accept the £1.00 book tokens that we will be handing out this week.
Valentine Cake Sale
A HUGE thanks to all Friends who came and helped before and during the cake sale. Without your help it would never have happened. The support from other parents/grandparents/carers was tremendous. We raised £208.53. The remaining few cakes were taken along to a 'soup kitchen' that evening. They were very much appreciated too! Well done to Isaac Starmer who won the Valentine cake and to Serenity Walker who won the lunch time cake. Thank you to Mrs Coulter who made the Valentine cake and donated it to our school.
The Friends of Prettygate Junior School – Quiz Night
