Parent Survey 2017
On Friday your child will have taken home a Parent Survey form. We appreciate hearing your views and try to act on them wherever possible. Please complete the survey and return it to the office by Friday 7th July.
Reception Classes – Forest School
This week Miss Burgess’ class got to spend the whole day at our Forest School. They took part in Forest School activities throughout the day. Lunch was cooked over the fire which children and adults enjoyed together under the shady trees. Photos are in our gallery now. Next Wednesday Class RI will spend the day at Forest School.
A very big thank you everyone who has brought in their sponsored dance money. If anyone still has sponsor money to bring in, please could we ask for it to be taken to the school office by the end of school on Monday (26th June).
One of our parents has kindly organised a fundraising film night for the children. The children will be watching the film “Trolls”. The date is Thursday 6th July, directly after school. Tickets cost £2.50 each which will include entry, a snack and a drink. Tickets will go on sale before school on Monday 26th June. If there are any parents who can help with selling tickets before school in the morning please speak to the office staff.
Week commencing 19th June we will be eating meals from Menu 1.
We will be holding a morning of sporting activities on Tuesday 11th July starting at 10.30am. Parents and carers are very welcome to come along. PARENTS SHOULD NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 10.15AM.
Get Caught Reading
We have started to get some great photos in for our ‘Get Caught Reading’ competition. Children are invited to bring in a photo of themselves in an unusual place where they have read. We will give a prize for the most dramatic and imaginative photo entry. Please bring your photographs to the school office. The closing date for entries is next Friday 30th July.
Mini Summer Fayre
Please keep bringing in your items for our ‘Mini Summer Fayre’. This will take place after school on Monday 3rd July. We will be holding a non-uniform day next Friday 23rd June. Children can come to school in their own choice of clothes in exchange for a donation for the Summer Fayre. If you are unsure of the items we need please see the posters around the school.
Year 2 Leavers’ Assembly
We will be holding a Leavers’ Assembly on Friday 14th July. Parents of children in Year 2 are very welcome to join us. It starts at 10.00am and you are invited to stay for a drink and a biscuit with your child afterwards.
The Finance Committee met this week and discussed the current spends and confirmed both schools were working within their set budgets.
