Thank you to all of you who attended the e-safety workshop last night. Before the parent session, the ' Two Johns ' had worked with each year group and had run a staff session. The aim of the adult sessions was to change our perspective of how our children engage with the internet and what our reaction to that should be. I was amazed and worried in equal part at the depth of knowledge the majority of children have, but also reassured that if we are vigilant enough and approach it in the right way, we can allow our children to engage with the internet and also keep them safe.
You can follow the ' Two Johns ' on facebook for alerts and updates and if you would like more help in this area then sign up for the upcoming e-safety course, details of which have been sent to you. If in doubt please ask at the office.
The winning ticket for the £50.00 prize was number 97. If this is your ticket please speak to the office staff.
Welcome back to the Summer term.
As I write the children are taking full advantage of our fantastic school grounds and the beautiful weather. Long may it continue!

Year 2 and Year 1
For two weeks from Tuesday 8th May pupils in Year 2 will be working on a range of statutory tasks and tests. These activities will be incorporated into the normal school day. (No special preparation from parents is necessary). It is however important that children are in school for these two weeks, unless of course they are unwell.
Additionally Year 1 will undertake statutory phonic screening in the week beginning 11th June. Again please ensure your child is in school unless they are poorly.
Hats: In this lovely sunny weather please ensure your child brings a sun hat to school every day.
Cups: All children should have a named cup in school so that they can have regular drinks of water throughout the day.
Sunglasses: Please do not allow your child to bring sunglasses to school unless there is a medical reason that they need to wear them.
Sun Lotion: Please apply sun cream to your child in the morning before school. Please do not allow your child to bring sunscreen to school in their book bags.
